ImSand Interactive Sand Table

The Interactive Sand Table is a multi-format educational, learning and therapeutic tool based on the principles of neurodiversity, psychological well-being, and improving linguistic inclusion.

This educational tool is suitable for all without excluding a specific target group. It complies with the Universal Design Principles: the product can be used by people with limited functional abilities, the product can be adapted to individual needs, the use of the product is simple and intuitive, it fully complies with the principle of tolerance for errors, even, on the contrary, it encourages creativity, and it has no right or wrong scenarios of use.

The desk also fulfils the Universal Learning Design strategy. The performance and usability of the interactive sand table are based on the broad concept of inclusion. The table’s practice is not only inclusive of people with disabilities, but also of everyone, regardless of age, gender, race, social or ethnic background, place of residence, wealth, language, religion, sexual orientation, migration and other conditions. The adaptability of the interactive sand table is based on the values of universal design for learning – recognising the differences of all learners, fostering equality for all learners, enabling full participation, ensuring equal rights and building community relations.
