Digital teaching tool for Lithuanian history for grades 5-8
A digital teaching tool for Lithuanian history for students in grades 5-8 was created as part of the National Education Agency’s project “Digital Education Transformation (EdTech)”. The aim of the project is to modernize history teaching by providing students with digital tools that will help them better understand Lithuanian history.
BMK solution
BMK has created an interactive platform that provides history lessons for grades 5-6 and 7-8. Topics are presented through interactive introductions, digital and creative tasks, and analysis of primary sources, ranging from written documents to cartographic sources. The teaching materials integrate timelines, maps, historical documents, and diagrams, allowing students to actively participate in the learning process and analyze historical events themselves.
Value for schools
The digital history teaching tool not only improves the quality of history lessons, but also develops students’ critical thinking, ability to analyze historical events, and interpret primary sources. This tool engages students in active learning by adapting digital tasks to different achievement levels.
