Eismopolis
An innovative and unique safe traffic city for children
This project invites Lithuanian schoolchildren and teachers to travel around a virtual city, visiting 24 stops, rather than boringly memorizing traffic safety rules. Learning takes place through play and various tasks, but most importantly, Eismopolis uses risk perception testing. This method has never been used for student education in Lithuania or anywhere else in the world.
This method is designed to test the ability to perceive imminent danger and is already in use in several countries around the world. In the United Kingdom, anyone wishing to obtain a driver’s license must pass a risk perception test. The country’s transport engineering laboratory conducted an extensive study and found this method to be unequivocally effective. It was found that first-year drivers cause the most damage on British roads.
