Digital teaching tool for Lithuanian geography for grades 6-7
The digital Lithuanian geography teaching tool was created as part of the National Education Agency’s project “Digital Education Transformation (EdTech)”. The aim of the project is to improve the quality of inclusive, accessible, and technology-enriched teaching and learning processes and achievement assessment. The tool was created for 6th and 7th grade students, taking into account the updated general curriculum and the lack of teaching tools, and helps students better understand Lithuanian geography.
BMK solution
During the project, programming, theme development, and digitization work was carried out to create a modern and interactive tool. It presents 10 topics on Lithuanian geography with numerous interactive elements—maps, diagrams, and graphic material. Various creative, digital, and interactive tasks are adapted to four different achievement levels, using various H5P task types that help students actively engage in the learning process.
Value for schools
Interactive tasks increase student engagement and encourage them to explore geography in a practical and creative way. The four different levels of tasks ensure that each student can progress according to their abilities, which improves achievement results and contributes to an inclusive learning process.
